Profile IB (Balanced, Reflective and Principled)

First of all it is important to know the definitions of this three qualities.

1. Balanced: Mental or emotional stability.

2. Reflective: Thoughtful. Providing or capable of providing a reflection.

3. Principled: Acting in accordance with morality.

After knowing the definitions of these three concepts I can say that they represent the units we have studied.

Why do they represent these units?

Because good decisions in life need mental and emotional stability because at the end we must deal with the consequences of our decisions so we should make the right decisions about topics like these.

As part of a society we must have an opinion about daily life topics and we have to be reflective to give ideas that really help others make right decisions, life decisions.

Principles and ethics must go side by side, so we always consider moral values before giving our opinion or making decisions.

Is Life a People's Choice?

I think that parents should be informed of everything about their babies, especially if they are having health problems before and after they are born.
I don't consider down syndrome as a health but as a challenge to those who have to deal with it. So I disagree with people who decide to abort a baby because they are not brave enough to accept this challenge.
